Ho Chi Minh
Ho Chi Minh first was as an outspoken voice for Vietnamese independence, while living as a young man in France during World War I. In 1930, he joined the Communist Party and traveled to the Soviet Union. And in 1941, he helped find the Indochinese Communist Party and the league for the Independence of Vietnam. When World War 2 ended, he forced the northern Vietnamese city of Hanoi and declared a Democratic State of Vietnam, which is North Vietnam, with Ho as to be president.

North VS. South
This war began in 1954, after the rise to power of Ho Chi Minh and his communist Viet Minh party in North Vietnam, the United States and the Soviet Union, more than 3 million people were killed in the Vietnam War, that's more than half were Vietnamese civilians. By 1969, more than 500,000 U.S. military personnel were involved in the Vietnam conflict.
